Online Fandom: Ships and Shipping  

Ah, the wonderful world of shipping. On one hand, ships are fun in the way that team sports are fun – there’s camaraderie, there’s the excitement of cheering/showing support for something that you really believe in, there’s countless opportunities for endless hours of debate and squee-ing with fellow fans. On the other hand, ships can be (and often are) incredibly divisive and reduce fandoms to blithering, bitter, rabid psychotics that you wouldn’t want to let near your children, real or hypothetical.

Zombies + Southern Gothic 

I’ve been on quite a reading spree the past few weeks. I always tend to kind of forget what exactly a book is about and why I liked it, so I’m going to try and review each one as I finish it so as to better remember and absorb it (helpful for the day that I return to the classroom!). Obviously this is an entry that falls into the tl;dr category. ;)

You can’t put nothing past these southern boys. They just sit around waiting for somebody to kill their brother so they can get started on some vengeance. It’s like a damn vocation with them.
